HPD officer receives leadership award
0619 Kirkendall
Chief. Bill Kirkendall

During the annual Georgia Police Accreditation Coalition conference June 8, Hinesville Police Department Sgt. Bill Kirkendall was awarded the President’s Leadership Award, the highest and most prestigious award and honor given by the organization.

Kirkendall’s leadership actions during the past year have been nothing short of exemplary, GPAC President Cheri Pickard said. "He has led our organization to new levels and has distinguished himself from more than 100 members as the most deserving of this honor."

Kirkendall assists the organization in providing training and helps to guide other agencies in their pursuit of state certification. He also assisted the Georgia Chief’s Association with the Certification Manager and Assessor Training programs.

"Kirkendall has inspired us all to want to improve our organization and profession, and his tireless efforts motivate all of us to want to do better," Pickard said.
