Shots fired at Hinesville apartment complex
LL_Shots fired 3.

Multiple shots were fired Friday night in the Harbor North apartment complex on Veterans Parkway.

According to Hinesville Police Chief, Lloyd Slater the gunfire may have been sparked by an altercation between two men.

Slater said one person has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault after a brief chase which ended at the En-Mark gas station on Pineland Ave and E.G. Miles Parkway.  The man told authorities he was allegedly defending himself. A handgun was found in his glove compartment.

The man he was allegedly defending himself from was also on scene at the gas station and told police he had not fired a weapon. Police searched the area of Harbor North for a weapon and couldn’t locate one.

No one was injured in the shooting.

The case is under investigation and it is expected the police will release more information Monday.
