Entries now open for Georgia junior and girls' championships

MARIETTA — Entries are being accepted for the 43rd annual Georgia Junior Championship, June 16-18 at Augusta Country Club.
The tourney is open to male amateur golfers between, 14-17 years old as of June 16, who are Georgia residents and GSGA members or dependents of GSGA members.
There will be 54 holes of stroke play with the 144-player field being cut to the low 70 and ties after 36 holes. The top eight finishers are invited to represent the state in the annual Georgia-South Carolina Junior Challenge Match.
Entries are also being accepted for the 29th annual Georgia Girls’ Championship, which will also be June 16-18 at Marietta Country Club in Kennesaw. It is open to female amateur golfers between, 9-17 as of June 16, who are Georgia residents and GSGA members or dependents of GSGA members.
The format is 54 holes of stroke play for the championship flight, 36 holes for the 15-18 and 12-14 age divisions, and 18 holes (nine per day) for the 9-11 division. The top four finishers in the Championship Division will be invited to the Georgia-South Carolina Girls’ Junior Challenge Match.
Qualified players may enter online at the GSGA Web site (www.gsga.org). Paper entries are available by request and may also be downloaded as a PDF file via the Web site.
