First Presbyterian Christian Academy endured a heart-crushing blow Friday when Memorial Day School delivered an 86-6 pounding to the Highlanders at Long Bell Stadium in Hinesville.
Memorial Day opened the game with a two-play, 40-yard touchdown run and never stopped producing. Highlander D’Angelo Streeter provided a shining moment for the FPCA fans, scrambling down field for a nearly 50-yard touchdown rush.
Long County had a difficult Friday night as well, falling 54-21 to undefeated Bryan County in Pembroke. The Blue Tide avoided a shutout but never were quite in the game. They trailed 41-7 at halftime. For more on Long County’s game, see Wednesday’s Courier.
