Liberty County basketball player Davion Mitchell is ranked number 34 overall among the top 150 Class of 2017 prospects, according to rivals.com.

Mitchell is a four-star recruit, according to the updated list released in time for July evaluations. During this period college coaches are allowed to evaluate prospects at NCAA sanctioned events. The first evaluation period was from July 6 until today. The second is July 13-17 and the last is from July 20-24.

247Sports.com has Mitchell as the 35th best player for the Class of 2017 and seventh in the nation among point guards. He is fifth overall in the state, according to 247Sports.

Mitchell has verbally committed to play for Auburn.

Mitchell recently attended two elite camps, the NBA top 100 Camp and the CP3 Elite guard camp taught by NBA player Chris Paul.
