SAVANNAH — Armstrong Atlantic State University’s Hispanic Outreach and Leadership at Armstrong program recently announced that HOLA and Armstrong will serve as a regional partner for National Public Radio’s StoryCorps.
As part of this effort, the university is reaching out to the community to recruit Latino Americans to record their stories for StoryCorps’ “Historias” repertoire. StoryCorps will be at Armstrong from March 19-29.
StoryCorps is a national nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide all Americans the opportunity to record, share and preserve the stories of their lives. Since 2003, StoryCorps has collected and archived more than 40,000 interviews from nearly 80,000 participants. Its weekly broadcasts are on Morning Edition.
