Sin is like an incurable disease

Disease is a horrible thing, especially those that have no known cure.
I have personally known several people who have passed away because of such disease. They, for the most part, have tried every possible thing to try to beat it, but ended up losing the battle.
I will say that there have been a few who have — through what I believe was a miracle from God — been healed.
The Bible tells us we are all born in sin, and like an incurable disease, no human effort can do anything about it. In other words, there is no cure and no forgiveness from any doctor or professional expert.
Like those healed from an incurable disease, there is a remedy that comes from a miracle. The miracle happens when we admit that we are sinners and ask Jesus to forgive us. Our sins are not held against us, and the result is that we receive peace and eternal life.
With an incurable disease, I do not know why God doesn’t choose to heal everyone who asks in prayer by faith. But I know from experience that everyone is not healed. Here lies the difference between incurable disease and sin — God will forgive every person who asks in prayer by faith, no matter who you may be or what you have done. That’s the good news about salvation: It’s available to everyone.
Revelation 22:17 says, “Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.” The big question is, are you thirsty?
