The Coastal Georgia Council Boy Scouts of America recently recognized Southeast Georgia Health System President and CEO Gary R. Colberg for his commitment and dedication to young people.
In honor of that devotion, Colberg received the Boy Scouts’ Golden Eagle Award during the Glynn County Annual Golden Eagle Dinner on June 30 at the Jekyll Island Convention Center.
The Boy Scouts recognized Colberg because his commitment and dedication to young people exemplifies the Scout Oath: “To help other people at all times.”
Colberg, a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, is active in all facets of health care and the Southeast Georgia community as a whole.
The Coastal Georgia Council Boy Scouts of America serves over 7,500 young men and women annually through traditional scouting, ScoutReach and Explorer Post programs.
Boy Scouts of America provides the nation’s foremost youth program of character development and values-based leadership training, which helps young people prepare for the future.
