A special called meeting was held Feb. 8 by the Liberty County Board of Commissioners to set the Qualifying fees for the upcoming 2022 elections.
For the County Commission Districts one, two and three, will open for elections. The qualifying fee for those seats were set at $252.00.
For the Board of Education, the Board Chair is up for election. The qualifying fee for that seat is $256.00. Districts seats four, five and six are also on the upcoming election cycle. The fee for those is $180.00.
Qualifying begins at 9 a.m. March 7 until noon March 11.
Commissioner Eddie Walden motioned to accept the fees as presented. Commissioner Connie Thrift seconded the motion and it passed with no opposition.
