College of Coastal Georgia announces summer Dean’s List
BRUNSWICK — The College of Coastal Georgia has announced the students who have earned their place on the Dean’s List by their high academic performance during the Summer 2023 semester.
The students named to the Dean’s List achieved a GPA of between 3.5 to 3.99 while enrolled in at least six hours in the given term.

Area Kennesaw State students recognized for academic excellence
KENNESAW — Kennesaw State University has named 971 students to the President’s List in recognition of their academic excellence for the Summer 2023 semester. To achieve this honor, each undergraduate student must have completed at least nine semester hours with a term grade point average of 4.0.
Local students earning President’s List honors are:
• Patrick Underwood of Allenhurst, majoring in Marketing-Interest
• JaKayla Chargois of Hinesville, majoring in Psychology Joshua Hunt of Hinesville has been named to Kennesaw State University’s Summer 2023 Dean’s List in recognition of academic achievement.
Majoring in Sociology, Hunt is among the 982 students named to the Summer 2023 Dean’s List. To qualify, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher and complete a minimum of nine credit hours.
Local students graduate from Valdosta State
VALDOSTA — Valdosta State University announces the members of its graduating class of Summer 2023. This includes the following local students:
• Tylonda Anderson of Ludowici earned the Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing
• Dominique Rogers of Hinesville earned the Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Alyssa West of Ludowici earned the Education Specialist in School Counseling • Gerald Williams of Ludowici earned the Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies
Local students earn Dean’s List honors at Georgia State
ATLANTA — Georgia State University has announced the summer semester 2023 Dean’s List students.
To be eligible for the Dean’s List during the summer semester, degree- seeking students with a minimum Georgia State cumulative GPA of 2.0 must earn a 3.5 GPA for the semester and complete at least six semester hours of academic credit with no incompletes.
