New medical office focuses on foot, ankles

Atlantic Foot and Ankle Specialists has opened its newest and fifth practice in Hinesville.
The company had a ribbon cutting and grand opening in the Ong Professional Plaza at 502 E. Gen. Stewart Way, Ste. C. Dr. Melissa Robitaille and her staff greeted chamber and community members and talked about their methods for reducing or eliminating foot and ankle pain.
Robitaille is a native of Montreal, Canada, and graduated with honors from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami, Fla. She completed surgical training at Emory Northlake Hospital in Atlanta, and is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Robitaille also is a faculty member of the Podiatry Institute. She lectures across the country on foot and ankle pathology and treatment.
Robitaille’s associate, Dr. Todd Newsom, is also a graduate of the Barry University school. He has advanced training in nerve disorders of the foot and leg. He is also a certified wound-care specialist.
Atlantic Foot and Ankle Specialists’ services include surgical correction, treatment of deformities and a new painless heel treatment called extracorporeal shock wave therapy.
