The Hinesville Rotary Club  presented $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors from Liberty County’s three high schools May 8 during the club’s annual awards banquet. Scholarship recipients were:

• Jaleel Menifee, who is graduating from Liberty County High School and will study pre-medicine at Mercer University in Macon

• Chanelle Craig, who is graduating from Bradwell institute and will study biology at Duke University in Durham, N.C.

• Emily Hickey, who is graduating from First Presbyterian Christian Academy and will study graphic animation at Savannah College of Arts and Design.   

Club President Jeff Ricketson said the three scholarship recipients distinguished themselves academically during their high-school careers and community service.
