Two earn doctorate degrees

Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Horton are proud to announce the graduation of Dr. Kimberly Horton from Tuskegee University on May 8.
Horton is an honor graduate of Long County High School and an alumna of Fort Valley State University.


Hampton earns doctorate

Perry and Darnie (Moore) Hampton of Hinesville are proud to announce that their son, Channing Janaci Hampton, a native of Glennville, will receive his doctorate of medicine from Morehouse School of Medicine. 
Prior to attending medical school, Hampton attended Liberty County High School and Fort Valley State University, where he received a bachelor’s of science in biology.
He went on to the Medical College of Georgia to receive a second bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science. 
Commencement exercises will be at 9 a.m. May 21 at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel on the Morehouse College campus.
Following graduation, Hampton will complete his residency training at Memorial Hospital of Savannah in internal medicine. 
His maternal grandparents are Cleo Murphy and the late Dutchie Moore, both of Glennville.
