Savannah Technical College held a graduation ceremony for seven students who completed its peace officer academy. The graduates, who are eligible to serve as state-certified peace officers, completed an 18-week course. Each cohort also dedicates its class to a fallen law enforcement officer and this cohort chose Glynn County Sheriff’s Deputy Talmage Leon Tucker Jr., who worked with the Glynn Sheriff’s Office for more than two decades.
