UPDATED: GBI team investigating possible explosive devices

Explosive devices found in a home Thursday.

Clark Street, in Isle of Wight near the eastern end of Liberty County was closed for several hours Thursday as GBI Investigators searched a home for possible explosive devices.

Authorities were on the scene of a home on the 300 block of Clark Street where what appeared to be explosive devices were discovered. The area was blocked off to keep bystanders safe. The GBI explosives team as well as the Fort Stewart explosive ordnance team arrived to discovered the devices. We are waiting to hear back to see if those devices were live or training devices.

According to witnesses at the scene a retired Chatham county explosive ordinance disposal technician died last year and his wife just found a the items in his work shop.
