Margie’s Southern Cooking opens Walthourville location

The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for Margie’s Southern Cooking 2 on Thursday, March 17, at their location on Highway 84 in Walthourville, just past the railroad tracks on the right.

Leah Poole, CEO for the Chamber, welcomed those in attendance and introduced Jimmy Shanken, chairman of the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce. Shanken congratulated the owners and also wished them much success in their new location.

Charlie Richardson, co-owner, thanked those in attendance and talked about future plans for the new location, to include a paved parking area and more.

Margie’s Southern Cooking serves down-home favorites Monday through Friday for breakfast and lunch. Be sure to stop in at one of their two locations, the first at 1696 Shaw Road in Hinesville and the second on Highway 84 in Walthourville.
