Steve Francis of Ashland, Ky., took the lead from polesitter Billy Moyer midway through the 50-lap finale at Golden Isles Speedway's Super Bowl of Racing IV and led the rest of the way for a victory worth $10,000.
Third-starting Scott Bloomquist, who won the previous two Super Bowl events, pitted during an early caution and faded from the outset. He retired on the 20th lap. Three-race winner Jimmy Owens was sixth, but picked up $10,000 for winning the Dart Winternationals points chase for the seven-race miniseries. Two of the 10 nights were rained out, and crowds were small until the last two nights.
Bloomquist was disqualified one night by UMP officials for too-soft tires, and suspended for 30 days, as a tire controversy raged. Eventually UMP's sanction was ended, and racing continued, including Bloomquist, sanctioned by the Southern All Stars.
Steve Jones and Shane Williams each won National Late Model Series features at the Super Bowl of Racing Feb. 1 and 2.
Next up for the National Late Model Series is a two-day event at the Waycross Motor Speedway February 22-23.
