The 12th annual Tybee Island Sea Kayak Races to benefit the Tybee Island Marine Science Center is set for Saturday, June 12.

There will be three races: The River Race is 6 ½ miles on the river. The Little Tybee Challenge is about 8 ½ miles around part of Little Tybee. The Race Across the River is a fun, short race for sponsors.

Races begin at 8:30 a.m. with registration starting at 7:15. They are based out of A-J’s, 1315 Chatham Ave. Go there to participate or simply observe.
