One man was reportedly killed and three other people injured Thursday afternoon in a one-vehicle wreck on I-95 in Liberty County.
According to authorities, the four men were in a Dodge Durango that crashed at about 4:30 p.m. near the Riceboro area.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene, and three others were taken to Memorial Health Medical Center - one transported by LifeStar, Eastern District firefighter Joe Cannon said.
He said one of the victims had to be extricated from the vehicle.
The identities and residence of the victims were not available.
Traffic was shut down in the southbound lane for a brief time to allow the LifeStar helicopter to land.
Georgia State Patrol, and Eastern District, Midway and Riceboro fire departments responded to the call, and a New York City firefighter and a truck driver traveling in the area at the time of the wreck also provided assistance.
The cause of the wreck is under investigation.
