A heavy storm that swept through the area Monday night apparently damaged the bus shelter at Snelson-Golden Middle School. Authorities currently are investigating what happened, according to Liberty County EMA Director Mike Hodges, who added that there were no reports of tornadic or rotation activity in the area. Hodges is working with the weather center in Charleston, S.C., to determine what kind of weather-related occurrence caused the damage.
