Crimes reported to Hinesville Police include:

Dec. 27
Burglary — Officers responded to a burglary on Coalition Drive. The homeowner stated he came home to find the storm door open and the front metal door kicked in. After searching the inside of the residence, the owner discovered a large flat-screen TV and its stand missing.

Dec. 28
Burglary, forced entry — HPD was dispatched to a burglary on Rowe Street. The complainant stated that she had left for Christmas vacation 10 days earlier, and her residence was secure at that time. She said when she returned home, the front door was unlocked. Upon opening the door and seeing that the TV and love seat were missing, she immediately backed out and called the police. Officers cleared the residence and found a screen had been pried off a rear window, as well as pry marks on the top and bottom of the window frame. A search of the home revealed many of the rooms had been rummaged through, with clothes, paperwork and other belongings scattered about the house.
