It’s All About Me Selfie Studio held a soft opening Thursday night in anticipation of their brand new business that allows customers to come in and explore different scenarios in which to take selfies.

The studio has various backdrop themes and interactive props with which people can take pictures.

Owner Khloe Villafane was highly excited about the unveiling.

“It’s really just a fun, interactive experience for families and friends,” she said.

Villafane went on to say that she was inspired to create this business when she went to a selfie studio in April last year and thought it was an amazing experience. Then she had an epiphany.

“Why don’t we have this in Hinesville?” she wondered. After that, she was inspired to put in all of her time, money and energy in starting this business.

One of her goals is to give customers a sense of self-worth. She wants them to feel affirmation about who they are and to feel beautiful and confident when they leave.

The studio itself displays a series of rooms that have a lot of unique exhibits. There is a money room that has fake money and a money gun that shoots out dollar bills, a Barbie room where little girls can have a day in the life of the popular doll, and a ‘70s room that features a lava lamp, old magazines and a vinyl record player.

There is also a 360-degree room that serves as a photo booth, where customers can put their phone on a tripod and record themselves as it spins around. A VIP room is also there, complete with a lounge replica so customers can feel like they’re in a VIP experience.

Villafane said that she would like to expand beyond Hinesville, but not at the moment.

“I’m just trying to open up right now,” she said. “I would definitely like to expand in various places like Savannah, Atlanta or even out of state.”

Mayor Allen Brown was there for the opening and was pleased about the new business in the area.

“All new businesses in our community are great,” he said. “This is really cool and kind of innovative to me.”

Brown also talked about other businesses opening soon, such as at the old Coca-Cola building, with plans to put a new restaurant in its place.

When it was time to open the business, Villafane was overwhelmed by the turnout and the tremendous amount of support she has received from so many different people. She thanked her family for having her back through this journey, and she thanked various others including the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Joe Ford, her accountant who helped out with her finances, and her manager, Kaylee Lopez.

Khloe’s mother, Kathy, also had a few words to say at the ceremony for those in attendance and those who supported her daughter along the way.

“You all mean a lot to her, and you played a very important part of this process,” she said.

The grand opening, complete with a ribbon cutting ceremony, will take place Thursday, March 10, at noon.
