Do you know what Veterans Day is?
Letter to the Editor generic

Editor:

Do you actually know what Veterans day is?

Veterans Day was established to honor all of America’s veterans, past and present.

It is a day to say to those still with us that we honor what they accomplished for all true Americans. Yes, we also remember those who have gone before us, but it is a day where we can enjoy the comradeship of those we honor.

We do this simply by saying thanks to a vet you see on the street, at church or in a store. And yes, some organizations such as the American Legion sponsor, with the assistance of other veterans, activities such as the Annual Liberty County Veterans Day parade.

This year’s parade will include the Department of Georgia, American Legion Commander, Eddie Asberry and several of his Officers, Dennis Fitzgerald, Commander, 1st District Commander, DOG and a Special Grand Marshall. The parade line up will start at 2 p.m. at Bradwell Institute and move out promptly at 4 p.m. Will you be there as a participant or as a citizen showing your respect for America’s veterans.

And a special contingent of 3rd ID soldiers will be leading off this Annual parade. Now to all you local dignitaries, if you want to be in the 1st Division, we need to know,

Now also if you want to be part of the reviewing party, please contact one of the following; Post 321 Commander - Jeff Bowen at worldsgreatestpoppy@gmail.com or 1st District Commander - Dennis Fitzgerald at Abn.RangerFitz@gmail.com.
