Participate in 2015 Veterans Day Parade
Letter to the editor
lettereditor

Editor, Veterans Day, Nov. 11, falls on a Wednesday this year. As with the last three years, the Veterans Day Parade will line up in the Bradwell Institute parking lot beginning at 2 p.m. and will promptly step off at 4 p.m. This is done to accommodate the members of the 3rd Infantry Division and their band sufficient time to return from the morning parade in Savannah.

The parade route will remain the same as before: down West Gen. Screven Way to West Hendry Street, west on South Main Street, passing the review stand near the historic courthouse, up West Court Street and back to Bradwell Institute.

The theme for this year’s parade is “A Welcome Home to Our Vietnam Veterans.” This theme has been selected, as this is the year of the 50th anniversary of this action.

We request the participation all organizations, civic groups, politicians and all who want to show their veterans that they appreciate all they do for our nation and our community.

Our points of contact for this event are Darryl Woodard, 912-557-0759, and Jeff Bowen, 912-312-0813.

If I can be of any further assistance, please contact me at 912-980-5204.

Yours in service,
Dennis P. Fitzgerald
