FPCA hosts Monsignor Donovan at Long Bell
football large

First Presbyterian Christian Academy will host Monsignor Donovan Catholic School Friday at Long Bell Stadium in Hinesville.

Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.

FPCA is familiar Monsignor Donovan on the basketball court. But there is no history between them on the gridiron.
Monsignor Donovan is coming into Friday’s challenge with a 1-3 record.

FPCA is 3-2.
Highlander quarterback Steven Young is 25-of-47 for 368 passing yards and five touchdowns. Running back Sensier Carnes has rushed for 333 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Highlanders’ ground game.

Khalyn Weekley has 11 receptions for 248 yards and four Highlander touchdowns.
Austin Hendrix leads the defense in total tackles with 28, Weekley is second with 22. Nasmeek Murphy has one sack for a seven yard loss.

Monsignor Donovan went 1-12 last year and were 0-3 in its region. The roster of 24 is a good balance of freshmen through seniors. Like FPCA, the Savannah school started the season early, opening with a 24-12 loss to Dawson Christian Academy.
