The First Presbyterian Highlanders advanced to round two after taking a 20-point victory over Monsignor Donovan Catholic High School in the first round of GISA state playoffs Thursday night.
Joey Bell lit up the board with another high scoring game with 29 points. Hakeem Golden and Mike Brown also hit the double digits with 13 points each in the 70-50 win at East Georgia College in Swainsboro.
Round two was scheduled for 12 p.m. Saturday at Brewton-Parker College in Mount Vernon. The Highlanders were tipping-off against Heirway Christian Academy in round two.
