Long County players will see some familiar faces when the Tide take the court this weekend.
Friday night, Long County plays host to Brantley County in a boys’ and girls’ doubleheader. The two schools met a week ago in Nahunta and Brantley County won both games.
The Tide are 8-12 overall and 6-7 in Region 2-AA. The Herons are 9-5 in the region and 11-9 overall.
The Lady Tide are 1-19 overall and 1-14 in the region.
Tipoff is at 6 p.m.
Saturday, Long County travels to Hinesville to take on Bradwell Institute.
In the first meeting this season the Blue Tide won and the Lady Tide fell to the unbeaten and state-ranked Lady Tigers.
The BI girls are 22-0 and ranked No. 5 in the most-recent Atlanta Journal Constitution Class AAAAA poll. The Tigers are 4-16 overall.
The girls tipoff at 6:30 p.m. and the boys’ game follows.
