’Canes play Saturday
The Hinesville Hurricanes will host the Georgia Pirates at 4 p.m. Saturday at Long Bell Stadium. Admission is $5, while children 12 and younger are admitted free.
Golf tourney fights cancer
The second Battlefighters Golf Tournament will start at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Cherokee Rose Golf Course.
All proceeds will benefit the Liberty County Relay for Life.
First prize is $200, second prize is $150 and third prize is $100. Door prizes will be given away. The first golfer to hit a hole-in-one on No. 3 will win a 2013 Impala from Mike Reed Chevrolet. A meal will be served at the end of play.
Cost to enter is $50 for an individual and $200 for a team. Hole sponsorship is $100.
