Panthers qualify for Elite Eight

The Liberty County Panthers won a nailbiter Tuesday night, 55-54 in overtime over Shaw.

The second-round win qualified the Panthers for the state playoffs Elite Eight and a game against Caver-Columbus Saturday night at Columbus State University.

Also Tuesday night, Long County’s Blue Tide beat Laney, 70-72,
