The Liberty County Panthers remained in winners column Friday night when a defensive stand in overtime kept the West Laurens Raiders from scoring a two-point conversion. After regulation time ended in a 10-10 tie, Liberty had scored and converted the 1-point after so won 17-16.

In Savannah, however, the Bradwell Tigers lost to Windsor Forest. With four defensive line starters sitting out with injuries the Knights mustered enough offense to eke out a 27-25 win over the Tigers.

And over in Ludowici, Long County fared better than many expected against Charlton County, actually scoring 28, though the fifth ranked Indians scored 74. At one point the Blue Tide led, 7-0.
