On March 22, Liberty County High School’s track boys and girls took home a win with 137 points for the girls and 136.5 points for the boys.

Asiayna Achane (12.49 seconds) and Jaleel Gilbert (10.91 seconds) both got first in the 100-meter dash. Asiayna (25.88) and Jaleel (22.02) also got first in the 200-meter dash with Christian McBride in third with 27.33 seconds.

Jaylin Ferrell placed third in the 400-meter dash. In the 800-meter run, Corey Colwell earned Liberty second place with a time of 2:09.06. Alicia Griffith (14:09.09) and Corey Colwell (11:05.72) got third in the 3200-meter run. In the 100-meter hurdles Te’Jada Smith ran in 16.87 seconds, earning her second place. Liberty’s boy (42.54) and girl (50.13) 4x100-meter relay teams got Liberty first place. In the 4x400-meter relay boys got third with 3:38.64, while the girls 4x400 meter relay team placed second with a time of 4:28.02.

In high jump, Donte Oliphant got first with 6-06.00. Zaiyah Savoy placed third in pole vault with 7-06.00. In long jump, Asiayna Achane placed second with 16-05.50, while Isaiah Burkes placed third with 20-05.00. Shikara Samuels (35-02.75) and Nick Bennett (41-06.00) got second in triple jump.

Antwann Winn got first place in shotput with 48-02.25. Also in shotput, Leia Williams placed third with 31-02.00 and first in discus with 101-03. William Kinyua II got second in discus with 131-10.50.
