Bradwell softball tryouts
The Bradwell Institute Lady Tiger softball coaching staff will host team tryouts from 5-7 p.m. May 18 and 20, and again at 11 a.m. May 21.
Tryouts are for girls in grades eight-12. Participants must have current sports physicals to attend.
Bring tennis shoes, cleats, glove, water bottle and a good attitude.

Savannah Mile set for May 28
The Two Hundred Club of the Coastal Empire, a nonprofit organization serving the families of fallen first responders, has scheduled its 11th annual Savannah Mile for 8 a.m. May 28 in the historic downtown district.
The course begins at the south end of Forsyth Park and takes participants down Drayton Avenue before finishing on Broughton Street.
Registration is $20 through May 26 and $25 on May 27-28. All proceeds will help the Two Hundred Club fulfill its mission to assist the families of law-enforcement officers, firefighters and other first responders who die or suffer critical injuries in the line of duty.

Youth soccer camp in July
Atlantic Calcio Academy and the Hinesville Gators have partnered again for the annual Elite Soccer Camp. It is set for 9 a.m. to noon July 11-14 at James Brown Park and is open to ages 6-17.
The program is designed to teach American players Italian soccer skills. The program is coached by Gavino Asteghene, the 2013 Georgia Youth Soccer Association Coach of the Year and Atlanta Calcio Academy USA director. The coaching staff also includes ACA International coaches David Sexton, Jason Christie, Mike Cedeil and Francesco Macri.
Registration includes a dry-fit camp T-shirt. The cost is $150 per player. Campers may also purchase a game ball for $15, which is $30 off the normal retail price. Register online at www.atlanta calcioacademy.com.
