Dr. Thomas Legacki and the staff of Ankle & Foot Associates in Hinesville, wants to give back during the holiday season, according to a press release.

So a decision was made to do something special that relates to podiatry and would help those in the local area. 

An annual shoe drive was created to collect new and gently used shoes for needy organizations within the community. In past years, the collected shoes were donated to the SOAR Re-Entry Coalition; a program developed to help those struggling to reintegrate back into the community following adult and juvenile justice system involvement.

This year’s donation will be given to the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. This effort will help those veterans in need and show support for military service members. This effort also supports AFA Cares – a new community initiative by Ankle & Foot Associates to help positively impact lives right here in our local area. 

The drive is ongoing, and shoes can be dropped off at Ankle and Foot Associates located at 481 Elma G Miles Parkway, Hinesville, GA, until Dec. 17.
