The Long County Chamber of Commerce held a joint grand-opening ceremony last week for If It’z Hair Salon and Spa, owned and operated by Louise “Lu Lu” Herndon, and Total-Bee Boutique, owned and operated by Sabrina Newby.

Herndon said the salon will offer manicures, pedicures, haircuts, sew-ins and massages.

She said she uses Design Essentials products, which also will be available for purchase.

“We will be having several specials through Feb. 14 that include $50 relaxers, free eyebrow arches with any hairstyle service, and with our pedicures we’re providing two free designs,” Herndon said.

“Thank God today is finally here. I also want to thank all of my family and friends for their support. … I invite everyone to come in, and when you do come in, I want you to feel welcome when you walk in the door.”

Total-Bee Boutique will sell perfumes, colognes, purses and jewelry.

Ludowici City Council member and Mayor Pro Tem Mary Hamilton attended the ceremony and said she is encouraged by the growth in the city.

“On behalf of the mayor and the Ludowici City Council, I am very pleased to welcome this new business to our city,” she said.

“By its opening, it shows us just how much Ludowici is growing, and I encourage all of the citizens to come out and support this business and the rest of the businesses in our city.”
