Panthers crown new queen

Liberty royalty: Metra Walthour, representing the senior class, waves to the crowd with her her father, Earnest Walthour Sr. at her side.

Metra Walthour, daughter of Earnest Walthour Sr. and Theresa Lingard of Midway, was crowned Liberty County High School 2007 homecoming queen Friday night.

The senior was escorted by her father,  Walthour is involved in several school and community activities, such as the National Honor Society, the Y-Club and is on the Panthers’ basketball team. Walthour plans to attend Georgia Tech and major in industrial engineering.

Also representing the senior class was LaQuananisha Adams, Amy McGee and Abigail White. Jazzmin Bratcher, Marcella Gordon and Brandi Thomas represented the junior class. Amber McCray, Brittney Schaadt and Morgan York represented the sophomore class, while Brittney Guilfo, Andrea Loweand Rachel Trawick represented the freshman class.
