Free workshop on film industry work

The Liberty County Convention & Visitors Bureau (LCCVB) is inviting the public to attend a free workshop on how to become a vendor for the burgeoning film industry in Liberty County. The workshop will take place on Monday, June 19 from 3-4 p.m. in the LCCVB offices located at 208 East Court Street in downtown Hinesville.

This workshop is open to any business in Liberty County, however, specific industries that are needed include: restaurant/catering, construction and lodging/hotels.

As the Camera Ready liaisons for the county, designated by the state of Georgia, the LCCVB is responsible for working effectively with production companies and providing local, one-on-one assistance in every aspect of production, from location scouting and film permits to traffic control, catering and lodging.

“We are excited to help continue to grow the film industry in Liberty County and look forward to working with many more productions in the future and helping our local businesses get involved and grow,” said LCCVB CEO Leah Poole.

Recent filming has included the popular FOX television show American Grit, which premiers June 11.
