Two people are dead following a shooting incident in Long County Tuesday afternoon.

According to GBI AGENT Richard Dial, a woman was shot and killed at her residence on the 1500 block of Tommie Hines Road.  Deputies from the Long County Sheriffs Office discovered the deceased woman when they responded to a call of shots fired at the residence

Law enforcement agencies began a search for a male who allegedly shot the woman.  The man was found several hours later deceased from what appeared to be a self inflicted gunshot wound at a mobile home on the 1400 block of Tommie Hines Road.

The case is currently under investigation
